@SuperSonicBlueGreenSpeedRuns You talking bout my first playthrough of MO2? That was just the raw footage of my midnight to 6am run of the game on release day, unless Youtube released a new thing since then you should just be allowed to upload 6 hour runs. I only have 33 subscribers because I hardly upload public, most videos are unlisted, though I'm working to make actual vids soon.

@TheBeardedHorsemen , I've seen it firsthand, so many people use AI images for their profile pics, it's a little disheartening to be honest but at the end of the day that isn't promotional work.
It's decently easy to learn how to use PowerPoint to quickly mash together images collage style once you mess with it for a bit, it's just a bit of mixing and matching, saving stuff to an images folder and dragging.
I can't personally vouch for @turbonikkster and how well they can or can't host an event, but it looks like they have been speedrunning for quite a bit more if you check their Twitch.
@LynnCarius I don't think any of us would say that someone trying to put together an event by themselves is a bad thing. It's incredible! And again the idea is actually a really fun one and the use of AI as promotional work shouldn't stop people from signing up! We are just laughing at the inarguable AI slop image lol
@TheBeardedHorsemen AI has its places for good use, it's been used to incredible extent in the medical industry, helped a ton of people quickly syphon information for exams too, but in this case it's not... good lol, especially for promoting a media where actual artists had to make the visuals for these games. All props to you if you want to host an event, it's a really cool idea for an event, but that doesn't change the fact that AI slop is AI slop
@LynnCarius Yeah I agree! Most people don't have time to make a masterful artwork for a promotional piece! But also I would bet everything that I could make something vaguely like that in PowerPoint in 20 minutes, it doesn't take much to have a picture of an NES, a stock photo of a blue grid pattern and a few text boxes lol you can even get something close to that font
And not to mention the AI meditating cabbage as their profile pic
