See you there, my friend. We'll figure something out.
Hey, thanks for bringing this up. Only official copies are valid for runs, meaning emulations aren't accepted. That's just a general rule we follow listed in the game rules. I can quickly add a Nintendo Switch Co-op category based on your completion amount for now, and then expand on that addition once we discuss it in the Discord.
Did you do any%, 100%, or max% ? Video proof is required for each category based on how fast the run was, ranging from 2hr to 3hr.
Unfortunately, we have noticed copyright claims popping up in YouTube uploads of Little Inferno gameplay containing Window Gazing by Ivor Slaney, which serves as the catalog/shop music in both the main campaign and DLC. Because of this, all runners are allowed to mute the game music in the settings TXT file to avoid copyright claims on VODs.
Follow this folder path:
C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Little Inferno\settings.txt
Ensure volume_music is set to 0.0, but keep volume_sfx above this.
The rules in all categories have been updated. Thanks to test00013 for bringing this up.
It's absolutely allowed to turn off the music. I'm going to make a pinned forum post to emphasize this! Thank you for bringing this up!
hey, I regretably confused your run with another. so sorry about this! it's resolved.
I've recently gone through a lot of community feedback, which has resulted in some changes being made to the leaderboards and rules. I've listed everything below. Thanks for contributing your suggestions! Please don't hesitate to share future ideas.
- Re-added Zirly's 1h 07m 45s run to the Any% leaderboard as per users' suggestions. Runs may be submitted to any category in which they qualify
- Added an All Mailbox Slots requirement to the Max% and Ho Ho Holidays Max% category rules. Any Max% and Ho Ho Holidays Max% runs that were posted before this change, and did not fulfill this specific requirement, will remain on the leaderboard.
- Added a Suggestions forum section to the community discord server! Feel free to post your feedback and suggestions on the server instead of the SRC forums if you'd like. Both will be monitored.
I've brought this idea up to the community discord, so we'll talk it over! Thanks for the idea.
Hi! So I've looked through your 1h 52m 28s run and I noticed your coin and stamp counts weren't maxed out. I want to clarify that you have to reach 999 coins and 99 stamps before heading to the epilogue of the game, right before your house burns down. That way, you can end your timing properly at the fade out after speaking to the Weather Man.
Your 1h 52m 28s run can't stay in the Max% category for the reasons I mentioned, but it's up in the 100% category! If you decide to run this category in the future, make sure you get 999 coins, 99 stamps, all Mailbox slots, and a hug from Miss Nancy with the free hug coupon before ending your run.
I'm bringing this up in the community discord to discuss a better way to implement individual catalog categories.
This run has been reinstated to the Any% leaderboard. Thank you for giving your thoughts on this and making a good case!
Hi! "All Combos" is the 100% qualification. Any extra qualifications go towards the Max% category as of right now. I have the rules up for those categories if you want to have a look for yourself. Thanks!
I have brought up this idea to the discord community and we will add the categories if it's approved of! Thanks for this.
I have adjusted the rules, which will apply to all future Max% and Ho Ho Holidays Max% runs! Thanks for the suggestion, Alex.
Hi, it's up now! Sorry it took so long. Feel free to submit any runs of the DLC :)
The WR for Any% is currently at 1:07:45 (re-timed from 1:08:00) by Zirly. However, this run follows the rules of 100% and sits on both leaderboards.
Whether the game can actually be completed faster by getting all combos as opposed to any other amount is to be determined, but this is a serious problem that plagues this game's leaderboards. Because of this, for now, I'm taking it upon myself to remove the run from the Any% leaderboard, while leaving it up as the 100% WR.
I think we can all agree that no single run should occupy two categories.
While, by the time you read this, the run will have been removed from the Any% leaderboard, this needs to be discussed among all and any suggestions/thoughts on the matter are welcome, as my decision obviously doesn't have to be final.
Not a bad idea. Try to get sub 2 by then and you'll be set.
You have time to get a good Any% time I think. In a year and a half roughly, you should be able to get 27 or better, LightOfEon.
There's time for you to get around 27:xx or better, DonutDS. Chances are, since it's less than a half hour and a race, it will probably be approved. It's not a popular game though, so it's 50/50.
I can't submit until then, just because I won't be sixteen (the minimum age to be a runner) until September of this year, but January isn't the ideal month for me. Anybody in top 5 on Any% leaderboards want to submit a race against me?
