Just switched them so 1.0.1+ takes priority
Also you said it's irrelevant because framerules, but in 1-1 it actually doesn't matter because 1-1 is already r20 and any frame save would save a framerule
This pretty solidly explains most everything movement related: https://simplistic6502.github.io/smb1_tll/smbpedia_movement.html
And if you need anything more you'd probably just have to read the disassembly https://6502disassembly.com/nes-smb/SuperMarioBros.html
iirc its because when its bouncing its turned into a sprite and is no longer a solid object
Yeah you need different tools depending on what you want to change about the game. So if you want to edit levels, I'd recommend SMBUtility or GreatEd, for graphics I'd say YY-CHR and SMB Graphics Workshop, for music Famistudio or Famitracker with the SMBBase, for text editing Mario Text Edit, for title screen stuff SMBTitleEditor, for changing palettes Super Palette Bros, and for a bunch of game mechanic stuff SMB Remodeler
Yes but it's a different subcategory. (Similar to the fact that console and emulator are different subcategories in SM64)
However, I just realized this video was done on PAL, and you can't use the same methods of acceleration on PAL.
If you're one frame away, you can do an underground fast accel, or UFA, to save a frame. To do it, just press R, R(Normal R pressing), L, R+A, R, R(More normal R pressing) etc (With B being held the entire time), the frame Mario's speed is 26. Should save a frame.
The easiest way would be to just point a camera at the screen. It's perfectly allowed and even a former wr used that method of recording.
Does anyone know of where I would be able to play version 0.2?
I'm sorry but you didn't get a 5.006 your first time completing the game. You are obviously an alt of ScarletDeathweaver, the player who cheated a run and keeps making obvious alts for no apparent reason. Your account also has a rejected 8-4 IL run that is two seconds faster than the TAS and was rejected for using an emulator banned because of how easy it is to cheat with it. It is pretty apparent that you are an alt trolling for no reason and your run should not be approved.
Bruce is the bowser before Bowser in 8-4 of SMB2J and sometimes appears in glitched levels. He is blue because Bowser only turns green when the axe is loaded.
You can't clip in enough to clip into the ground. You need to have upwards or no speed to fully clip into a block with no block over it.
I know for smb1 there is a game genie to move Mario even while he's in the celling so there might be something like that for this game.
