I have the original disk and the run plays okay. How can I have the videos play without the disk though? I use a portable drive on my laptop and wish to cut it out of my setup for it. :)
Scratch that, now the movies won't play even with the CD in..? Dumps me right into the game without the opening cutscene, no end cutscene either, just boots me back to the main menu as if I had skipped the movie.
What is going on? :(
The game is messy in this regard. I've also had this problem and sometimes it decided to work, sometimes it decided to not work. At some point, the game won't even be possible to activate, so you'll have to crack the game even though you own the original version. Unless you wanna see the cutscenes, just don't worry about it.
Well.. that's the thing I never figured out. Reinstalling the game sometimes helped for me, sometimes it made no difference. Didn't figure out a consistent way of having the cutscenes. Maybe someone else knows.
