I'm not sure if someone has already discovered this previously, but I think I found a potential way to skip the famous unskippable tower cutscene.
As you can see in the video if you skywalk where I do, you can get to the edge of the cliff that you usually get to after the long ass cutscene, without having to do the cutscene at all.
However, the only issue is the rope that you slide down after the cutscene seems to be absolutely necessary to continue. Being up there without using it the next area just won't load in and you'll basically be soft locked until you reset checkpoint.
I tried jumping back onto the end of the rope once i'm already on the edge of the mountain, but as you can see I either land on the rope and get completely frozen, or the rope breaks mid-air before I can latch onto it (and weirdly gives the same "Start a signal fire" notification on the top as you would get if you did tower normally).
In order to get to the bottom of the tower as shown in the video, after doing the bridge cutscene skip instead of walking around the mountain like usual, you have to glitch into the main area, walk up the building, and take the rope up, like you would do in a normal playthrough.
I do have a theory though, the final glitch of the video shows a weird thing I found where you can glitch into the tower and the camera thinks you're climbing the ladder in the cutscene but in reality, you can be wherever you'd like.
Now that it's been some time and i've thought it through I feel like it may be possible to do the glitch into the tower on the lower part, and once you have that do the skywalk to get up to the top of the mountain. Maybe then it will let you get onto the rope? Or maybe it will just let you progress outright?
If anyone wants to play around with this and figure out how to make it possible then you will get all of the credit as it has been months since I discovered this and I have not been able to figure out a way to make it work.
