Sorry if i'm asking something dumb, but i searched in some threads and the TP discord and couldn't understand if the use of Nintendont is just restricted to category extensions or valid for the main leaderboard.

Nintendont is considered an emulator, which is only valid for the extensions leaderboard. There are a few main leaderboard categories on there for emulator submissions as well.

out of curiosity, what should you use then

official disc played on a console by normal means, or through neogamma or swiss for PAL copies. just has to be the original game played normally.

can swiss work for ntsc games?

its a shame cause the legit copy has been price gouged and it locks the only categories id want to run behind shelling out £200 which i cant justify spending
