I have an idea for a category extension, but I need 4 other people to run it also. Here are the rules:

1: Its called All Elixirs.

2: Time starts upon first input at lookout landing (not a new save, front gate start)

3: You must run the speedrun on version 1.4.1 or later

4: You are allowed to gain any elixir from an NPC or not from cooking

What do you mean “1.4.1 or later?” Since there isn’t a version that comes after it.

I say 1.4.1 or later in case this post is read after an update beyond 1.4.1 comes out since it was posted.

why not just split pre-1.2.1 and 1.2.1+ like other categories? or make glitched and glitchless variants

Ykw, that idea sounds better, pre 1.2.1 and 1.2.1+ categories instead. Imma get to work on recording a run, but fair warning, it might not look very good cuz I don't have a capture card yet, but I'll improve resolution in editing.

what does that mean? you can’t use a file that just got to lookout? related question, what about the items that you got before making the file for the run? can you just not use them? that would make the most sense

We'll start from the room of awakening instead, timer at 0:00, pre RoA doesn't count here. You are allowed to get Elixirs from NPC's. It doesn't mean you have to get every elixir that way, just if its faster. Yes, warp points are allowed, and I think glitched and glitchless are better, lets do that. Any other questions, I'm here.

oh wow then its gonna be a bit longer lol. maybe make a split for postgame and npg where postgame allows starting from any warp point

for pg make it required to show your materials before and after the run to make sure that nothing from before the run was used
