After 16 years, we finally got the "The Hive Item"
It was found by searching for new pointers in Cheat Engine.

It really happened: Sub 17
We never thought this would ever happen. It's just unbelievable.
Let's road to sub 16. I think it is somehow possible.
And who knows what we'll find out next.
As you can see, we found a way to finish the game without the ultimate (golden shotgun). It's a lot more difficult, but it saves a lot of time and sub 17 is possible and maybe someday sub 16.

The first sub 19 happened at ZFM 2024 Göttingen (21.09.2024)
Just a year ago, we thought breaking sub 21 would be an incredible achievement, but then we kept finding new bugs and strategies again and again.
For example Fast Hive Nest and Camera-Locking
We achieved our first sub 20 run on June 3rd.
And now, we've gone even further... a sub 19 run during a live marathon speedrunning event at ZFM 2024 Göttingen!
This is an unbelievable milestone for us, and we couldn't believe what happened when we looked at the final time.

Big Update for the "The Hive Autosplitter"
As you can see in the screenshot, now you can go to settings and edit the Start-Trigger, Split-Trigger & Reset-Trigger.
So finally, we can auto-split 100% and singular levels too.

A new glitch was found that can lock the camera position.
This is very helpful, because not loaded enemies won't attack you:

The Hive Autosplitter is now directly available in LiveSplit.
Just activate it and have fun :)

This Auto-Splitter automatically starts, splits and resets the timer of LiveSplit
Please contact me, if you have any problems.
BTW, the timer starts now at the first frame after the intro and ends at the first frame when the timer starts before the explosion. We had to change it, firstly because it previously took the tension out of the run, as you waited for the explosion, and secondly after the explosion you couldn't go back to the mainmenu to restart the run during the very long outro.

The real time of the run was 22:50 because I capped the framerate to 70FPS and the fade ins of texts and dialogs were very low - so for the IGT I cutted them out. Next time, I cap it on 700fps, which I recommend for TAS

I have got the opportunity to write with the developer of The Hive, Vanni del Moral.
He wrote that there is no 2nd ending nor easter eggs to find.
So the icon in the top left corner of the inventory is just a placeholder and cannot be obtained.
