Like outside of fully redownloading the game every time is there a way to get rid of mods

you can duplicate the game in Steam. then add the mod files to one copy of the game. that way, you can just select the modded copy if you want to practice, or select the unmodded copy to do runs. i recommend asking in the speedrun discord and one of the runners can probably give you step by step instructions.
