100% scents route, RNG item maps & fish setups info

The route I've prepared for 100% scents, using a combination of my own research and referencing Petriform's run:

Much like bugs, each fishing pier has a random "setup" determined when you enter the area. Sometimes, certain fish are exclusive to certain setups. The good news is that we can use our knowledge of these setups to know when we are on the wrong one, and you can reset the setup by leaving and re-entering if this is the case.
Different setups also seem to have different odds of the same fish, however at this time we don't know how to properly view these odds.

All Diary Entries notes

Notes I created+followed for All Diary Entries runs. They're not very detailed, mainly designed to just remind you where to go next, but might still be useful for your own runs + research and should cover everything you need to do.

Things that differ from an any% run are marked in bold. Additionally, two quests are marked in red because they are remarkably easy to permanently miss.

Any% Beginner Route

My notes for a "beginner route" to Any%. More advanced routing is effectively just routing the extra RNG scents and skipping some of the slower more guaranteed scents.

Any% WR Route Notes

[Update 26 Aug 2020: Made changes reflecting that this guide specifically concerns the Any% category.]

By request, I'm sharing the notes I wrote up for the Any% route I've honed in on as of August 2020. See the Google document linked below:

East Chilly Field "falling block" routes

In East Chilly Field, the intended route across the ice is to bark at the penguin and follow it. It will choose a route of ice "blocks" that are guaranteed to be safe to step on. The penguin can choose different paths, and stepping off of this path means you break the ice and fall into the lake, starting over... except there's actually a little more to it than that.

The blocks that are safe to walk on are actually always the same, regardless of whether or not you bark at the penguin or what route it takes. Here is an image showing which blocks are safe and which are not:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/17xY3SC1qucf2cDt3WiMeiYEzSyBNExJi/view?usp=drivesdk

Blue squares mark a block that will always break. Every other block is always completely safe (and, of course, the penguin is marked too). It's possible to memorise this and save a little bit of time- you don't have to wait for the penguin, because you can just go. Alternatively, if you're not as confident, you can follow the penguin up until a point where you're certain you can finish the rest of the path on your own.

Also of note: on the other side of the ice, there's a penguin family right next to the block(s) you have to exit the lake from, which can help a little.

Hope this helps someone a little in the future ^^
