Played on MesenRTA 0.7.7 with an 8BitDo Pro2 XBox controller.
Solid start, getting to Lake More before the half hour mark was generally the pace I was looking for. Lake More was a bit of an adventure, I switched to the spoon late, which might’ve been a mistake, as nothing was biting at it (I think my cadence/rhythm was bad) but I did manage to snag a nice 15.4 lb. bass just in time to close it out. General info:
One of the variables that you can somewhat control, is how fast the fish spawn. Fish seem to spawn faster on Cloudy & Light Rain days, so for Lake Amada, I reset if I get Clear or Heavy Rain. Blue lure seems best for Cloudy, red lure for both Rains, silver lure for Clear. Your lure dance can only maintain fish interest for so long, so when bass spawns are sufficiently slow or delayed, it becomes more likely that their interest won’t be high enough to bite, or to even reach your lure in the first place.
When the fish refuses to bite, you can re-do your lure dance, and he will spawn again. It is always the same fish that spawned the first time. So as an attempt to mitigate the bite RNG, I try to get as many attempts on the good shadows as I can. For Day 1 & 2, I move the lure into the bush, where I can dance as much as I want without the lure progressing closer to shore. The downside, is that sometimes you will fail multiple times on trout or under-sized bass, and lose time, but I find this much less irritating than the alternative. For Lake More, there are no good cheese spots, so I cast far enough in order to get 2-3 chances at a bite. Final bass stats: Amada: 4.0/3.6/3.5/2.7/2.6 Japan: 7.9/7.2/7/6.4/6.3 More: 15.4/15.4/13.0/11.4/10.3.
All 3 days had 3 strong bass, and two weaker bass, which I believe echoes what Vraieless found in his very helpful forum post.
