Certain updates and clarifications to the ruleset that will be effective immediately as of this news post going live.
FPS display is now required. An FPS counter must be present and clearly visible at all times throughout the run. The choice of the tool for displaying FPS (Steam Overlay, RivaTuner Statistics Server, Fraps, etc.) is up to the runner.
Established boundaries of modifying in-game files for QoL purposes. A runner is permitted to modify the coalesced.ini file solely for the purposes of removing motion blur.
Established rules for skipping the Chapter VII cutscene. Runners are allowed to utilize the Chapter VII cutscene skip via Livesplit by enabling the option in the autosplitter settings. Any other method for skipping the cutscene is prohibited.
With the servers being back up and campaign being fairly optimized, I've decided to add categories for the base-game escalation maps, Broken Hope and Remnant. Each map has three sub-categories for waves survived. I hope this helps to bring a little more life to this board.
Make sure to read the rules for the new categories. Most notably, DLC mods are not allowed.
Some updates/clarifications have been made to the ruleset that will be effective immediately.
Input overlay is now required. With the triple jump tech having been brought to my attention and its frame perfect nature, an input overlay for submissions will be required for PC runs from here on out, while console runs are exempt from this. The overlay must be visible at all times.
Rebinding keys externally is allowed. You may use external programs to change your keybinds to your liking given there is no functionality in-game to change keybinds at all. Macros of course are not allowed.
Any form of modification to the game outside of rebinding keys is not permitted.
