Our community's annual championship for 2026 just concluded last month. Now is the time to jump into a brand new season of competitive Tetris Attack racing!

Our tournament series consists of eight one-weekend-only open tournaments that will provide seeding for an invite-only major championship to run throughout March and April. Only players who have played in at least one open tournament will be invited to the major championship. Players will have to qualify for the open tournaments by performing live speedruns in the VS. mode. Spots are limited to 16-20 players for a top-level Gold bracket and 16 players for a consolation Silver bracket. Prizes will be given out to the top finishers in the major championship from a prize pool that is crowd funded by viewers.

Below is the tentative schedule for the entire 2027 tournament series, with each broadcast scheduled to start at 2:00pm ET on https://twitch.tv/puzzlespeedrun :

August 8, 2026 - Flying Wiggler Open

November 7, 2026 - Froggy Open

February 20, 2027 - Raphael the Raven Open

February 27, 2027 - Last Chance Qualifier

March 6 - April 25, 2027 - Major Championship

As alluded to in the Monthly Speedrun Tournaments post, the major tournaments are invite only and only people who have played in at least one of the eight monthly tournaments leading to the major will be invited.

On February 15, the League of Puzzle Speedrunners will bring you the final monthly tournament of the 2025 major, the Raphael the Raven Open, hosted by me! If you have yet to play in our open tournaments, then playing in this tournament is your last chance to get into the major. The League of Puzzle Speedrunners is now hosting monthly Tetris Attack tournaments!

To qualify for the annual major tournaments, we are now organizing an open VS. tournament every month. This single-elimination tournament will be played over two days on select weekends every month. Players will need to qualify for each monthly tournament by attempting one speedrun of each VS. game level within a time limit. For more details on how to participate, join the Discord server linked on this page.

At the time of this post, qualifying for the first monthly tournament is open from now until Wednesday afternoon EDT. The first monthly tournament begins next Saturday, May 18.

It is time, puzzlers. The Tetris Attack Speedrun Tournament 2024 signups are now OPEN on start.gg! https://start.gg/LPSTA2024

This VS. tournament will feature a 16-person double elimination bracket for the title of TA2024 Champion. We will also have Endless and Stage Clear tournaments for those who want a smaller time commitment. This tournament is scheduled to broadcast from March 9 to April 27.

At the end of the final broadcast, we will have an announcement that will change the way we play these tournaments forever.

Signups for the VS. tournament will be open for the rest of the month. Endless will be open through April 10 and Stage Clear through April 17.

We would start the monthly Tetris Attack tournament in May after the next major tournament, but we would transition to monthly tournaments for each of Pokémon Puzzle League and Tetris Attack.
