Leaderboard Rework!

Hey yall, I bring you good news!

I've finally made the changes to the boards to allow all verified runs to have a place once again since all speedruns on "outdated" versions of the game were removed due to major changes to the game, there are other reasons for the removal of those runs but the long story short is there was just too many major changes across versions and also these very old versions of the game are not accessible unless you made a copy of it on your own. Giving away patches of a paid for game for free is technically a legal gray area but it can be potentially problematic so I'm not providing any previous patches here on the leaderboards as to not get anybody in trouble. But that said let me breakdown what all changes were done to the boards today.

  • So first off I added game version categories to allow any version of the game to have a respective place on the leaderboards, this was also done in a way to make sure that runs that were performed on different versions of the game to remain separate as they should be considering the changes across the versions of the game. If these multiplayer categories were implemented using annotations it'd combine all speedruns regardless of versions on the same board which shouldn't happen considering the many changes.
  • Another major update to the boards is finally adding multiplayer leaderboards! I'm only starting us with a 2 player maximum since there isn't very many active players, this is subject to change at a later date but with how few people are playing I think making it a 2 player limit will allow for more competition amongst players. The way I decide to incorporate these multiplayer categories will allow all single player and multiplayer speedruns to remain separate as they should, but also implementing it in the way I did will allow all runners to show up on the boards, if you put in the credit you should get credit you know. And just like the game version change if I made the multiplayer change an annotation all single player runs and all multiplayer runs would be on the same board which I don't want. I think that way it was added is the preferred method that most would agree with.
  • I updated the name of the "100%" categories to be called "All Objectives" instead, this just makes it more clear what the category is supposed to be about, this also helps with the few cases where the speedrun and category name would be something like "100% Any%" which sounds counterintuitive, so this change gives more clarity. Though I haven't updated the Hammer Only 100% category name yet, maybe in the future but not right now. And perfect segway into another change.
  • I finally added the "Toolless" and "Toolless 100%" categories which have been in the works for months now. This category is like a more difficult form of the Hammer Only category, so that'd make the Toolless categories be glitchless categories, and remember no tools at all are allowed to be used in this category! Also considering the similarities with Hammer Only I decided to keep the name "Toolless 100%" instead of implementing the All Objectives in the category name, though this change may happen at some point in time, same thing with Hammer Only 100%, but for now they'll stay as they are.
  • I archived several categories that were adding too much clutter to the boards, these categories may be archived but the runs that were in them will remain public so fear not!
  • I also added more categories for the full game categories, previously they only had Any%, Glitchless, and Hammer Only, and now all full game categories also have All Objectives, All Objectives Glitchless, Hammer Only 100%, Toolless, and Toolless 100%, so many more ways to speedrun the game! Not too mention that there's multiplayer categories for the full game categories as well!
