How to do the Drift Boost

1->By pressing the drift button (L/R), your character will keep going in the same direction while turning. You don't need to turn at all.
2->This turning goes until it reaches the maximum angle, and caps. The time needed for this to happen is different for each character.
3->If you release the drift button just when the character reaches that cap, you get a free boost. 

Bear in mind that this mechanic is extremely situational, and should be used carefully.

How to time IGT using LiveSplit

1. You need to do Compare Against > Game Time to make sure you see it properly
2. Edit Layout > + > Control > Manual Game Time
3. When you do runs, a little window will pop up with a text field in it. Every time you want to split, type in the IGT number into that window, then press Enter. Your normal split hotkey will not register the game time.

RTA will be timed according to when you press Enter on your IGT window
