This came out of nowhere! Comes with the SNES, Genesis/Mega Drive, MS-DOS and Game Boy releases. @Neffets can add Street Racer Collection as another platform right?
I think leaderboards should be combined unless/until the Collection has a significant time advantage. That's too bad existing leaderboard times aren't just total race times when I suspect Switch load times are a disadvantage but is what it is. The less division the better.
Yes, I already tried to see how I could add this to the leaderboards. But I had the same concerns about load times and also if there is lag/slowdown in the original games that is eliminated in the Collection versions. I'll see if I can make a seperate category for the 4 Collection games.
But I think it will end with a completely new page for the Collection to avoid confusion and mistakes.
I finally bought this on Switch for 35% off. I had the SNES cart but nice to have more platforms available. I'm impressed how skillful the SNES runs are. Unclear to me for now if the Collection has an inherent advantage.
MS-DOS, PlayStation, Saturn and I'd think PC have a Platinum Cup I guess you could wait out adding until someone submits a run for it. They also have a Micro Mode that plays like NES R.C. Pro-Am and Micro Machines that would need to have separate cups.
I can't tell the difference between the dougal and turgay passwords on MS-DOS since they both unlock all cups and Rabbit the best character.
That's cool you have a PAL run on Mega Drive showing 50 Hz. I don't know if the takeaway is it has a 16% real time penalty thanks to 50 Hz or if car speed is faster to compensate. Should be clear if NTSC is submitted. Quite a few unanswered questions.
PAL game runs on NTSC console and emulator set to 60hz were submitted. I rejected them, as they were clearly and visibly running faster than on original 50hz console and emulator.
