Hello,

I was wondering if the cheat code to start with extra lives is allowed when speedrunning the game. I’ll admit, the limited continues has me nervous to try running the game, and I think starting with 9 lives over the usual 3 would make a speedrun feel less daunting. Would that be okay if I were to try a run?

Hello, how are you? I'm sorry, but cheating is not allowed. You can watch some gameplay videos of other players for guidance and learn some useful strategies. I recommend starting on Easy difficulty, as it's not very difficult to learn

You have continues, and once you pick up and learn some of the strats and start on easy you'll get the hang of things fairly quickly.

I see. Thanks for that; I’m doing a let’s play on Normal at the moment, and if I ever decide to speedrun, I’ll start on easy.
