Any% (No OoB) Video Guide (Pre-Counterdrift)

Here is a very in-depth video guide I made about a year ago that breaks down every track including a helpful and consistent method for mastering the dreaded helix skip in Radiant Emerald.

Everything in this video is still useful and relevant, even if slight adjustments have been discovered or made since the recording of this video. If you’re trying to learn the 100% category, this guide still applies since you need to learn the any% (no oob) versions of the tracks anyway. My Radiant Emerald breakdown, however, will not apply to 100%.

How to play Sonic R Any% for marathons with 100% consistency (PC only)

This video shows how to play Sonic R Any% for marathons with 100% consistency (PC only)!

To achieve this, I used only strategies with 100% consistency: you won't run the risk of making mistakes that require you to restart your run, and the time will depend solely on your game execution.

Your time can improve if you use slightly riskier strategies like Reactive Factory or Regal Ruin, which simply require more practice to reach consistency rates above 80% or even 90% (as in my case).

In this run I got:
RTA [5:39](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMWBwaE1_NU&t=339s)
IGT [3:56](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMWBwaE1_NU&t=236s).510

This run is from 2020. Good times, considering I'm terrible with Knuckles in Radiant Emerald. A player can easily save 10 seconds there.

You can also use this guide to do your first run of Any% single segment!

Only for PC version.

Out of bounds tutorial for 100% and any%

rough tutorial on getting out of bounds. The tech behind it is pretty straight forward and largely depends on luck but this might still be helpful for people looking for a place to start with the out of bounds categories

the first 3 clips shown in the video (corner wiggles with Knuckles) don't work on the PC version, everything else should

Sonic R: Research Notes

This guide is just to provide technical information on Sonic R. This may include version differences, clipouts, glitches, etc. This is not intended as a strategy guide, but more of an accumulation of knowledge concerning the game. You may post any additional findings in the forums. I will try to keep this guide updated.

Some of my information on version differences and running the game on other platforms. This includes what I know about PC version, as well as a simple guide to verifying consoles. This is just some of my research, and I would appreciate any help with testing and/or making amendments to my documentation.
