Dear SMS Speedrunning Community,

I will want to request a category that is not on this website currently, 2 options reside:

1. Any% Hoverless+ (where you can only use Spray nozzle and beat the game)

2. Max% Hoverless+ (where you can only use Spray nozzle and get the max collectibles you can obtain)

Problem is, the categories need a way to submit; you either need to submit a reliable video for the top 3* or provide your splits if you don't have video. How do yall provide a video? Whatever way is your community's way of doing it, I would want the same rules to apply to this(ese) category(ies).

For your first category suggestion, your biggest obstacle is going to be getting up to Bowser. Not using the rocket in corona requires infinite wallkicks so all you need to do is this.

As for the second, personally I think it would be better to be called Max% Spray Only. Of course that is also just my opinion, as I think it would be too easily confused with Max% Hoverless. These topics are best discussed in our discord in #lb-discussion.

If you want to try and route and complete a run, you can do so and we can add your run to our Category Extensions Extensions (CEE) page on our IL sheet, and once it gets a few other runs on the leaderboard we could create a category for this CE leaderboard.

Lastly, we have an established method of at least the top 20% of runs on the leaderboard to require constant clear video that contains game audio. This % is somewhat flexible.

I appreciate your response (sorry if it is a couple days late).

As for the 1st problem, I get it may need infinite wall kicks, ofc I seen people do in TAS'es, but not actual runs. For Corona though, I would figure out a method to beat Bowser.

As for 2nd problem, I get it would need some work.

I will perform a run soon about both categories, however, it would only be the end because that was the problem all along. I don't have Discord anymore, so I can't discuss in dc.

Lastly, I understand the policy of run submitting, define "clear" in resolution. I think 720p at the very least is good. As for submitting on platforms, I suggest it be on every platform other than homebrew.

For the 1st category, Any% by definition is beating the game in any way possible (except maybe ACE used by other games like OOT and PM). But I would put an exception on the run if it is done on RTA (which every run should be on RTA anyway). If infinite wall kicks are possible on RTA, I would perform runs on RTA, otherwise TAS would be the only option until we could find other ways to get up Bowser.
