Hi, hope you're enjoying speedrunning this.
This forum post is to address the rules about difficulty settings. As you may know, most of them add an advantage to your gameplay experience, and we would like to standardize some of them with you. Runs will be rejected if they do not respect this ruleset.
You must use the difficulty rules that came with this game upon launch.
Difficulty Rules
Damage Style - Modern
Checkpoint Style - No Flag
Extra Checkpoints - OFF
Infinite Lives - OFF
Flagpole Lives - OFF
Game Over - Either "Start of Game" or "Start of World". Start of Level is NOT allowed.
Level Design - Classic
Back Scroll - OFF
Time Limit - ON
Lakitu Style - Original
