Hello everyone! After careful deliberation and consideration of the recent community vote as well as general community feedback, the SMB1 moderation team has decided to allow Restricted Input Swapping under the following rules:

Multiple input devices and/or multiple keybinds may be used during the run, but runs using them will be subject to the following additional restrictions:

• All input devices and their configurations must be specified in the run comment

• Input devices or keybinds may only be swapped while the player does not have control of Mario (between levels or during room transitions)

• All input devices with debounce must have the same debounce settings

  • If an input device has no debounce, all other devices must have a debounce of 17ms or less

• A hand-cam must be visible during the run to show used input devices

• Moderators reserve the right to request additional information on the setup at our discretion, such as a demonstration of the setup
