Hi all I have a really frustrating problem. I am just starting to play faster so that I can get into speedrunning but have ran into a couple roadblocks. First of all, the SQL server error on launch. I have setup a rule that blocks the game in firewall but it still takes a few seconds to actually get going (not a major issue).

The main issue now is the game is unplayable. Every time I launch The Forest chapter (only one unlocked as on a clean save), it just freezes and shows the loading icon along with the background music of the intro sequence. Does anybody know how to fix this??

Hmm haven't heard of a problem like this, can you try the following:

1. Remove the firewall rule and let the game start (it will take a couple of minutes but it will start eventually) and see if that fixes it.

2. Does the newest version (1.2.5) work?

3. Can you record some footage of what is happening.

I shall try this when I get home later. I know version 1.2.5 works without issues as I tried it a few nights ago.

The SQL servererror on launch is normal when you block the game with the firewall. It's just a message that shows and that's all. Unless I didn't understand the first issue

The SQL error is not the problem. I can't seem to replicate what was happening now where my game would freeze when entering the forest. If I have any updates I will share.
