Hey everyone,

For any of you who followed this game closely in 2018, you'll probably remember the shaky start this leaderboard had on my watch as a super moderator who had submitted this game on SRC. Some silly controversy led to me deleting my old account and quitting speedrunning and moderating this game for a lil while.

I came back a year later and was told I wouldn't be allowed back. I'm happy to announce now that I'm back today and ready to make new changes to refresh the game a bit and make it more presentable for future runners of this ROM hack.

I'd like to apologize first and foremost for what happened in 2018 and I take full responsibility for my behavior and enabling the behavior of others. I was 13 at the time, and I'm 21 now. Things are much different and I'm happy to have established myself a bit more in the speedrunning community.

Things you can expect in the coming days:

• A full retime of every run on the leaderboard as retiming methods have evolved (and purging videoless runs)
• Second barriers for decimals in each category
• Rewriting of all the rules to be consistent with SMB1 standards
• Added new platforms that you can submit runs on
• Accepting more feedback to help this leaderboard evolve
• Redoing resources and cleaning forums
• Restructuring categories

Hope this will mark a new beginning for the leaderboard and bring fresher eyes and newer skill trees to this game!
