Helllo Skators!

While doing IL speedruns of Skator Gator I noticed some of my runs were much slower than they felt. So I did some digging and found out that the in-game time varies depending on how you start (or restart) a level. Here are the most important findings:

• When you start a level from the world map, via the "Retry" button on the level end screen or after dying the in-game timer start roughly when touching the mushroom at the beginning of the level.
• When you are in a level and select "Restart" from the pause menu the in-game timer starts earlier.
• Restarting from the pause menu is a difference of roughly 1.2 seconds.

If you are doing IL speedruns, please keep this in mind and do not restart from the pause menu since it's a free time loss. I hope you keep shreddin' those pipes! Good luck.

I've been recently added as a moderator for this leaderboard. I've discussed a few changes with the other mod Sylverstone14 which I've implemented today. These changes include:

• The timing of full game runs has been changed to exclude milliseconds since this leaderboard is relatively small and not very competitive.
• An IL leaderboard has been added.
• Exact timing rules have been specified.
• The rules for 100% runs now include the necessity to play on a fresh save file to make verification easier.
