well i have a few doubts
- how can i check the virsion of my game? well i downloaded it today so it should be 1.3+ but you can never be to sure
- can i screen record the game with nothing extra and upload it to YouTube to submit a run?
- is there any like unique methods/tricks i should know before speedrunning?
i might get more doubts later so ill ask it in this forum
and thanks in advance

If you just downloaded it should be 1.3+. Not sure how to check tho.

I think so. Verifiers can time the run themselves if you don't provide a timer

Practice each chapter individually using stitches and stuffing
this may not be the greatest advice, i haven't played in a while.
how to use stitches and stuffing?
oh and my laptop sometimes lags when a new area is loaded and because of that i loose time... is there anything i can do about it?
and thanks for helping me!
Check the autosplitter guide for the stitches and stuffing setup (https://www.speedrun.com/sheepy_a_short_adventure/guides/ni17t) Plus for the newest version, you will have to replace one of the files to make it work, just ask about that on the discord
I don't think you can do anything about the lag sadly, this is just the reality of speedrunning on lower end pcs. You can try to close as many background applications as you can and turn on any performance setting in the pc if you got the option
thanks for the info on autospliter but i don't think i should use if while doing runs as it will make my laptop much slower
oh, and about closing tabs i always restart my laptop before doing runs and i sit under a fan running at full speed to keep it cool......
another thing about the lag is that i first tried using inbuilt screen recording but it was very laggy so i use OBS is there another software for recording that might lag lesser?
I don't know about the recording, but LiveSplit shouldn't take almost any resources. I'd give it a try, although I'm sure you wanna save any amount of resources you've got
(i did a run but lost like 15 seconds due to lag..... even though i kept my laptop under fan and optimised its performance in every-single way that i could think of..... the last thing i can think of doing rn is to use my friends pc to do my runs.... anyway thanks for all the help)
Since the major growth this past week, Slack, Zyrumi, and I are going to add some new categories. The community has shown interest in both a 100% and a Chair% categories. We plan to make this happen, but we still need to work out some of the kinks in the rules. (Glitches or no glitches, what counts
