Shapez2 - Certification Any% - Routing (aka Everything Everywhere All at Once The Game)

Hello, this routing is the one I used for reaching 6:14 on June 13th 2026, I will try my best to update it as times will inevitably get better and better. Please note that I am playing the game in French and this routing can suffer translation inaccuracies. I tried my best to get the english names for the different shapes/machines/platforms from the official wiki when available.

# Credits

First of all, credits where it is due, while I am proud of the routing I made on Milestone 1 and 4, Milestones 2 & 3 are heavily inspired by @Hoto_houto's routing.

As said before, all english names come from the [official wiki for Shapez2](https://shapez2.wiki.gg/)

# About the game

Shapez2 is an amazing (personal opinion of course) factory building game where you need to provide a predefined number of certain defined shapes to a vortex by extracting, cutting, rotating, assembling, painting and overlapping different shapes available on the map, with the help of conveyer belts and launchers inbetween. While I strongly encourage you to do the full game, the certification category is basically the game tutorial where you get introduced to all the basic tools and first objectives.

# About the shapes

Shapes are described in game using a combination of form/color as follows :

### Quadrant Shape letter

- Circle : C
- Star : S
- Square : R (Rectangle as S is already Star)
- Diamond : W (in Shapez1 it was a Windmill shape)
- Refined shape X (looks like a SNES directional button) : X
- dash (-) : Empty quadrant

Other pieces exist but are not available in this category.

### Quadrant Color letter

- Red : r
- Blue : b
- Yellow : y
- Green : g
- Uncolored : u
- dash (-) : no color for empty quadrant

Other colors exist but are not available in this category.

### Describing a quadrant

A quadrant is described with the shape first then the letter.

- Cr is a red quarter-circle
- Rb is a blue quarter square (which is also a small square for the geometry lovers reading me)
- Sg is a branch of a green star
- -- is an empty quadrant

### Describing a layer

A layer is a combination of 4 quadrants, starting from the top right one and continuing clockwise (top right, then bottom right, then bottom left, then top left). For example CrCr--Cr would represent a red circle missing the bottom left quadrant

### Describing a multi-layer shape

Layers can be stacked on top of each other using an stacker, each layer in separated by a : symbol, with the topmost layer on the right. For example CrCrCrCr:RbRbRbRb would be a blue square on top of a Red Circle.

# Summary of the Certification category

The certification Category is split into 4 milestones. Each milestone will provide you with more and more tools to reach your goals

### Milestone 1 :

This milestone will require you to provide the following :

- 10 CuCuCuCu
- 60 Cu------
- 10 RrRrRrRr

### Milestone 2 :

This milestone will require you to provide the following :

- 60 RrRrRrRr:CuCuCuCu
- 125 RrRr----:CuCu----
- 150 Rr------:Cu------
- 60 XyXyXyXy
- 125 Xy------

### Milestone 3 :

This milestone will require you to provide the following :

- 60 Xy--Xy--
- 125 RrRrRrRr:Xy--Xy--
- 60 --Wb----
- 125 --Wb--Wb
- 150 RrRrRrRr:XyWbXyWb

### Final Milestone :

This milestone will require you to provide the following :

- 60 SgSgSgSg
- 60 XyXyXyXy:SgSgSgSg
- 125 WbWbWbWb:XyXyXyXy:SgSgSgSg

We do not have cute surnames for the shapes, feel free to propose some. Trust me, they will always be better than that.

# Unlocking features :

As certification is the tutorial of the game, some machines are not available until a certain shape is produced.

- Producing 10 CuCuCuCu unlocks Copy-Paste, Destroyer and Rotator
- Finishing Milestone 1 unlocks the second machine Floor and the Stacker
- Correctly routing every stacker on the map from the Extraction Point to the Vortex during RrRrRrRr:CuCuCuCu unlocks the Belt launcher & Belt catcher (A sequence break is possible using the Pipette as Belt Launchers/catchers are automatically placed by the game at the edge of every platform
- Finishing Milestone 2 unlocks the Blueprint (unused in the current route)
- Finishing Milestone 3 unlocks Machines platforms & space conveyers
- Finishing Milestone 4 unlocks the Certification Badge and ends the run

# Fulfilling Milestones :

The vortex accepts the expected shape in any rotation. For example, if Cu------ is expected, --Cu----, ----Cu-- and ------Cu are also valid. We will use this to produce Wb------ instead of --Wb---- and Wb--Wb-- instead of --Wb--Wb.

While a logical order is suggested by the game, every correct shape sent to the vortex will count towards the associated milestone. The current route uses this capability several times (hence the title of this guide). However :

- You will only see on the left of the screen the counter for the first shape expected in the line for each milestone, once you fulfill the first, you will see the second, etc...
- You will only see the completion pop-up if the shape counts towards the current milestone, but you will see them as soon as the order is completed regarded of the milestone order.

You can see the current status of completion by opening the milestone tab (T by default) to check if your step has been completed. You will be interested to have a look at this each time you see "by the time this step is done" in the routing below

As such, the current routing will produce the following out of order :

- XyXyXyXy, Xy------ and 60 Wb------ are produced during Milestone 1
- All Milestone 3 shapes will be produced during Milestone 2

## About conveyers and launchers/catchers

Conveyers provide shapes up to a speed of 120/min if they are feeded correctly upstream. Launchers have the same theoretical speed but they launch instantly the shape up to 6 blocks away, which provides an initial boost in feeding the next components. Whenever possible, use launchers to accelerate the feeding of the machines downstream.

And now after a way too long introduction, please find the routing

# Routing :

## Before the run

- Two tutorials will slow your progression, one for conveyer belt placement and one for stacker feeding using the second machine layer. While it is possible to click on "Skip", you will then face a timer before your are able to close the pop-up. This timer only appears on the first time you start a run after you launch the game. You will then be able to skip the tutorial for each subsequent run without any timer as long as the game remains open.

### Opening cutscene

After starting the run by accepting the Terms and Conditions and clicking Continue (Beginning of the timer), you are welcomed with an unskippable cutscene (Yay) where you will have to click several times for the game to start.

- Click on the first button
- If you do not move your mouse after clicking Continue, you should be on the second button when it pops up. IF you accidentaly moved your mouse, aims for the space between the two most up WbWbWbWb extraction boosters
- The camera will then move, You want to aim for the right of the vortex, on the third padlock from the top
- If you do not move your mouse after clicking Continue, you should be on the fourth button when it pops up, else aim for the intersection between the left of the vortex platform and the top of the vortex
- Finally, aim for the second from top blue button at the top left edge of the platform BEFORE the camera starts moving (sorry I do not have a good way of describing where to click after the camera has moved from the previous click

If you make no mistake, you should gain control of the game by 0:32 IGT

### Milestone 1

**CuCuCuCu**

- Place 4 down-facing mini-miners on the open extraction point (keyboard shortcut 5 then R by default), a pop-up will appear, you can skip it if you followed the setup described in "Before the run"
- Place a conveyer belt starting below the most left extraction point, slide 3 tiles right then 3 tiles down (you are aligned with the topmost edge of the platform), drop an anchor (by default C) and deploy the conveyer up to the edge of the platform (3 tiles right), generating a Belt launcher on one end of the platform and a Belt catcher on the vortex platform. Release your mouse.
- Pipette the Belt launcher and draw successively a 5-long launcher/catcher, then 2 6-long launcher/catcher). You will be at the edge of the vortex. You can complete this line by placing a final launcher on the edge of the vortex.

**RrRrRrRr (& XyXyXyXy)**

- Place 8 right-facing miners
- Draw the same belt as before (but rotated 90° anti-clockwise) for the upper one,
- Draw similar one on the lower one finishing on the next available edge of the platform (3 tiles up, 3 tiles right, 7 tiles up)
- You can use launchers by pipetting them : on the extraction platform, a 5-long launcher/catcher (not a 6 one as you will copy-paste this pattern until the end of the run where it will be needed to be in this exact configuration), on the vortex platform, a 5-long launcher/catcher then a 6-long launcher/catcher.

*Hoto_houto's route : A last 6-long launcher/catcher is drawn similar to the one used in the last step for **CuCuCuCu**. In any case, you aim for all the operations until this point to be done before **CuCuCuCu** step is done, as it will unlock copy-paste.*

- Select the two conveyers lanes from the mini-miners to the vortex
- As soon as the **CuCuCuCu** step is complete, copy (Ctrl-C)-horizontal mirror (shift-F)-paste (Ctrl-V) them on the opposite side of the extractor.
- Select the newly four lanes and copy rotate (R) paste them on the **CuCuCuCu** extraction point, rotate paste them on the **XyXyXyXy** extraction point, rotate paste them on the **WbWbWbWb** extraction point

**Cu------ (& Xy------ & Wb------)**

- On any belt, draw a three-long curve to the top or the bottom, place exactly 3 half-destroyers in front of the curve.

*Note : If you do not put exactly 3 half-destroyers or if these destroyers are not after a conveyer belt, the game will open an additional pop-up describing belt split, losing time in the process*

- The game will open a pop-up describing rotators, close it as soon as possible, place the 3 rotators after the destroyers, and then 3 destroyers after the newly-placed rotators
- The game will open a pop-up describing belt merge, close it as soon as possible and merge the three lanes into one. Depending on your way of working, you either want the merged lane to be in the continuation of the initial lane or on the opposite side.
- Based on the option you chose above, copy and paste the succession Split belt/destroyer/rotator/destroyer/merged belt (which I will refer to afterwards as "quarter-making transplant") accordingly above or below (if lanes are described in order as A B C D, you should copy-paste from A to B, B to A, C to D or D to C), connect that transplant to the upstream and the downstream belts.
- You should then be able to make a copy-vertical mirror (F)-paste to connect to the two remaining lanes
- You should then be able to make a copy of the 4 lanes transplant and copy rotate paste it to the **XyXyXyXy** lanes, then rotate paste it to the **WbWbWbWb** lanes

You have completed Milestone 1. While the shapes are being routed to the vortex, you will route the **RrRrRrRr** to the left of the screen.

*Note : As the run goes on, it becomes harder and harder to describe the exact point you are aiming for as you will build bigger and bigger structures and create your own route. If you compare the current routes for Hoto_houto and myself, you will see what I mean. In essence we aim for the same target but we each have our own specificities.*

*IMO speedrunning is about getting inspired from the other speedrunners as much as imagining your own path & finding solutions that the current speedrunners have not thought about before.*

*As such, the next steps will be less and less detailed and provide more general directions than exact steps.*

### Milestones 2 & 3

**RrRrRrRr:CuCuCuCu**

- Place a 6-long curved **RrRrRrRr** lanes to the floor and a six-long curved **CuCuCuCu** to the second level (both belts should overlap), at least 7 blocks left from the vortex. Connect 6 stackers to this double-floored upstream belts. After each stacker, place a 3-long conveyer line and merge those line on the 4th tile, aiming for the vortex downstream. The game should change the pop-up from "send XXX to the vortex" to "we have a proposal for you" (unlocking missions). I will refer to the **RrRrRrRr** + **CuCuCuCu** lanes/6-stacker/3-long conveyer belt as 6-stacker transplant afterwards.

*Note : The game will start to lag the more stackers are placed on the map as the game will show for each of them the expected input on each layer. The game is known to cause performance issues when calculating shapes expected output. While there is an option to not display these expected outputs, the tutorial ignores the parameter and shows you the shapes anyway. If you run on a high-end computer, you may be spared from this issue, else, DO NOT PLACE ANY OTHER STACKER before the mission pop-up appears*

**Xy--Xy--**

- By the time this step is done, the 125 **Xy------** should have been delivered to the vortex. Combining a double rotator on one lane and a conveyor lift on the other one after the **Xy------** quarter-making transplant, you should be able to input half the lanes from the quarter-making transplant to stackers and produce 2 lanes of **Xy--Xy--.** This new 6-stacker transplant will be referred as "diagonal stacker transplant" and is different from the 6-stacker transplant mentionned before

**--Wb--Wb**

- Copy/rotate/paste the diagonal stacker transplant to the WbWbWbWb lane

**RrRrRrRr:CuCuCuCu (Part 2)**

- Get back to the **CuCuCuCu** lane, copy paste the 6-stacker transplant 3 times and connect one upstream a second set of 6 stackers to a belt of **CuCuCuCu** on top and a belt of **RrRrRrRr** at the bottom, connect downstream to the vortex to double the production capability

**RrRrRrRr:Xy--Xy--**

- Connect the two others 6-stacker transplants to a **RrRrRrRr** conveyer belt at the bottom. Route the two **Xy--Xy--** lanes to the top of a set of 6 stackers each and connect downstream to the vortex.

**RrRrRrRr:XyWbXyWb**

- At the end of the 2 **--Wb--Wb** lanes, divert it to round the vortex by the top. As you are actually producing **Wb--Wb--**, you will need to place 2 rotators on each lane to get back on your feet and produce **--Wb--Wb** for correct stacking on **RrRrRrRr:Xy--Xy--** afterwards
- You can either wait for the end of the **RrRrRrRr:Xy--Xy--** step or produce **RrRrRrRr:Xy--Xy--** on one belt and **RrRrRrRr:XyWbXyWb** on the other one. In each case, add a second set of 6 stacker on the last tile of the 3-long belt and feed them with the lane created at previous line.

**RrRr----:CuCu---- & Rr------:Cu------**

- Place 6 half destroyers on the 3-long belt on one of the two 6-stacker transplants producing **RrRrRrRr:CuCuCuCu, p**lace 6 half destroyers, 6 rotators and 6 half destroyers on the other 3-long belt

You have completed Milestone 2 & 3. While the shapes are being routed to the vortex, you will route the top right of your screen

**SgSgSgSg, XyXyXyXy:SgSgSgSg & WbWbWbWb:XyXyXyXy:SgSgSgSg**

- You will be required to produce 3 different shapes for that last milestone. While you cannot feed the SgSgSgSg before the milestone is active, as it is on another shape asteroid, you can prepare the field by creating 3 double 6-stackers, one simple 6-stacker and a simple line made of launchers/catchers for straight lines and conveyer belts for turning.
- The double stackers should accept **WbWbWbWb** on the bottom of the first line, **XyXyXyXy** on the top of the first line and have a lane imputting **SgSgSgSg** at the top of the second line of stackers coming from the top right of the vortex platform
- The simple stacker should accept **XyXyXyXy** on the bottom and **SgSgSgSg** at the top.
- The simple line should be coming from a different level than the 4 lanes feeding **SgSgSgSg** to the stackers.

This is the most tricky part in terms of production as both **XyXyXyXy** and **WbWbWbWb** are feeding your **RrRrRrRr:XyWbXyWb** step. However the existing lanes should be able to keep some shapes as buffer. You should be able to cut the most remote (from the vortex) 4 tiles on **XyXyXyXy** and **WbWbWbWb** to connect the 3 double stackers and the simple stacker while waiting for the milestone to complete.

### Milestone 4

**SgSgSgSg, XyXyXyXy:SgSgSgSg & WbWbWbWb:XyXyXyXy:SgSgSgSg (Part 2)**

- Switch to spatial view (platform view) as soon as Milestone 3 is validated. Copy the **XyXyXyXy** Asteroid miner platform, rotate it and place it on two tiles of the **SgSgSgSg** asteroid. The asteroid is + shaped. You should put a miner platform on either the top and the left part of the + (facing left) or on the left and bottom part of the + facing left or down
- Complete the asteroid with 3 miner booster platform facing the same miner platform (any one of the two copied before).
- On the miner platform that is not boosted, Merge all lanes into one that you will send to the second level on the most left (if your miner platform is facing down) or up (if your miner platform is facing left)
- Using a conveyer belt, send the **SgSgSgSg** shapes from the two miner platform to the top-right open end of the vortex platform.

If you have done everything correctly, you should have spare time to show the blueprint library (which should be empty for the run to be valid) while the shapes are stacked and sent to the vortex.

### The end

When all 3 steps are completed, the milestone button should be clickable. The runs ends after clicking it.
