What exactly is a collectible? Spells, of course, but does this mean anything that cannot be duplicated or carried in hand? Such as armor+, health+, and fall damage-?
It's a strange category in this game because none of those three examples carry over in save data or even after death within the same playthrough. And things like biscuits that do carry over in death like a typical collectible can be duplicated as you mentioned. I think we need justification for this category to exist, and I just don't see it right now in the current beta. I think we should replace it with an "All Hats" playthrough lol
I have assumed the category to mean all spells, all armor, all health upgrades, and all fall damage boots, plus all mysterious shapes into the door. You're very right that the category is a bit nebulous as-is.
If we're talking meme categories though, I have been looking at doing a very silly duck% run in which, wearing a duck hat, you throw a rubber duck at the Sir Ducky secret statue (and hit it, of course: time only stops when the duck the duck).
The two big questions I have are:
- Do mysterious shapes need to be put in the door?
- How can a No OoB run be completed when the third pair of fall boots is out of bounds? Or do we not consider the roof of the level out of bounds?
I feel like the roof is in-bounds? You can get there through an intended path without needing to pass through any OoB areas. In that same vein, would an OoB All Spells run technically require getting the hidden spell which requires OoB to reach?
Now that I think about it, All Collectables might need to be made unavailable for the demo in any case, since those pickups don't exist and it'd essentially just be an All Spells run.
