However, I did some testing on the version in our resources, and it turns out that you can use the sped-up version intro in any version of the game. You always get it on the second run, and this resets when you exit the game.

Should we amend the rules to allow for this, now that it is available for all?

I personally am against allowing that. as it would require more setup and overall be less enjoyable than just skipping it, and also it may undermine the achievements of current runs a bit by making it easier.

I actually found it more difficult to attempt as every subsequent run would have the sped up intro, and I can't see a way to disable it.
