I know very few people care about PAL but I just tested a new strat for the Ligar fight. After grinding and getting the stats required to kill him, using your mind points to restore and then tanking every hit Ligar gives seems to be faster by about 4 seconds. It makes the fight a bit more RNG but it's really manageable, you'll have to dodge AT MOST 1 hit. Getting those points is also RNG, but after trying multiple times, I never got a grind that didn't give enough points.

That being said, does the game have a Discord dedicated to it? The game is fairly ran and I've seen games with like 5 runners having a Discord so it kinda seems odd this one doesn't

As far as I know there is not a dedicated Rygar Discord server. I'm part of a group that hosts Rygtoberfest each year, which is simply and event that encourages Rygar playing of all sorts during the month of October. But our discord isn't dedicated to Rygar. It's a great game though and could likely benefit from one!

I just wanted to set the record straight regarding the Ligar PAL strategy (double Mind + Attack & Assail storage).

I was the first to publicly demonstrate and explain this exact technique on YouTube. My video was uploaded on **September 18, 2009**:

In the video (which still had the old YouTube annotations/popups at the time), I explain step by step how to farm the double Mind star and store a second Attack & Assail for the final fight.

This was well before the big discussions on SDA and before ktwo popularized the strategy in the speedrunning community. I’m not trying to start drama, I just think it’s fair to acknowledge the original demonstration from 2009.
