I have this game on DS. I don't know if I'll speedrun it but I'm a fan. I found @KAGIC's fastest 2:14:19 run on YouTube and several slower runs that still beat his record here. They just haven't been submitted. Can that be added?
All his runs use おしまい (The End) displayed as the end time. That's after the Galaga mini game during the credits. Yet the rules are clear on the earlier end time:
timing ends when you get the last CLEAR message after beating the last game in the last challenge.
"The End" is the normal stopping point for Japanese games. I don't mind which rule is used so long there is consistency. If you stick with CLEAR or equivalent then KAGIC's 2:30:41 should be improved to 2:26:39 and the 2:17:05 would become 2:10:16. Time comparison
What's interesting is his last few runs are done the Switch 1+2 combo rerelease so Switch should also be added as a platform. I'm not sure if Switch has a loading time advantage or not.
Ahh thank you, I didn't realize there was a separate leaderboard for Switch. Searching for the title in English doesn't bring it up. Would be nice to combine the pages, keeping leaderboards separate, or have one page link to the other for discoverability. For instance, can see Pokemon TCG has another leaderboard linked under Related.
Then I guess we just need the end time rule updated here by copypasting it from Switch's 1+2. There it's "おしまい" that KAGIC uses. Then nothing has to be retimed.
