I'm getting back into RE speedrunning and have been taking the time to practice different areas and studying VODS of Jill any% but I need help with stair skating as I can't figure out how to keep Jill running as once I get off the stairs, and stop using the analog stick she goes into walking even after hitting the run button. Also when it comes to the M1 dogs is it possible to shot to early after the whistle or is their HP somewhat RNG based? Ive noticed that somtimes they'll go down after two 3 round burst, and other times I have to shot a few more bullets into them.

as for the stair skating, it could be stick drift, if your controller is still reading analog stick inputs, or if you push the run button early before it gets back to dead center, jill will just walk instead of running again. id check to make sure you dont have stick drifts or if you have a controller that lets you change the deadzones, tinker with that a bit and see if you can get it to stop. The dogs do have an RNG HP bar, it varies how many shots to take them out. if the first dog hasn't passed the corner sometimes you'll just miss shots to, just have to memorize the timing for the start of the first burst. i saw someone had some kind of enemy HP tool, but i never downloaded so im not sure where you can find it.
