Hi all, I couldn't find this info around anywhere else. I assume they're the same in that case but just in case, are there any differences to the PS1 speedruns (especially 100%, Any%) between the black label and Greatest Hits releases?
Not to my knowledge, the only thing is if it's ntsc-u, PAL, or ntsc-j.
In terms of gameplay there's absolutely 0 differences. Greatest Hits vs Black Label means only that the disc has been "printed" after the initial release after it sold several copies and became a PSX major ip. It's the same as Platinum in PAL regions.
As the title states, the new version of duckstation will end up giving you longer loadtimes. it's estimated to be around 10 seconds compared to the old version.
I recommend using version 0.1-4126-g179a7aea (2021-05-31) while still set to x7 speed for optimal loads.
