Quest for Glory Collection - Highly Questionable Any%

In order to do the Highly Questionably Any% run, you'll need to create a save file that technically cannot exist in a normal playthrough. This is only doable in diskette version 1.0. In order to create diskette version 1.0, you must install a copy of the diskette version of the game and delete the patch files, if they are included (.src and .hep files). Then, add the Debug Mode scripts to the game (see our Discord if you need help).

-- PRE-RUN SETUP --
Play through a New Game. Before reaching the end of the game, you must use the Debug Mode scripts to add a second torch to your character and leave that torch in the Bone Room either immediately at the beginning of the game or at the end during the ritual. Then, finish the game as normal. You need to create a save file that saves the game at the last possible second before the final score appears.

-- EXECUTION DURING THE RUN --
During the Highly Questionable Any%, when you come to Quest for Glory: Shadows of Darkness, load the save you made during the pre-run setup, and proceed through to score and exporting prompts to reach the main menu. Then, select Import and import your character as normal. When you load your Imported character, all of the flags from the completed game will be set thanks to an error in diskette version 1.0. From here, win the game and export, continuing on to Quest for Glory V: Dragon Fire.

-- MY ROUTE --
Feel free to look for a faster way - it may exist. The goal is to export your character from this game for use in Quest for Glory V: Dragon Fire. This is how I've routed this category, and is not the final say.

Grab the torch, to exit the Dark One's Cave use the "hand" icon on the exit (it will say it's locked if you use the "feet" icon). Head straight to the Castle. When you reach the main hallway (with the fireplace), the game will trigger the end-game events again. You will receive a grapnel upon enter the cave. This will allow you to climb the main altar and enter the final room. Upon entering the final room, the game will give you the Staff. We have no idea why. It's wonderful, though.
