I was doing some research for the 100% category. (I was trying to figure out if there was a way to get portal Combat to work on my phone). And I found out there has been a glitch with portal combat on iOS devices since 2016 making it impossible to completely, with their being a high chance it will never be fixed.
I was thinking about doing a run for 100%, but I don’t know how to deal with the broken mini-game? Would the run get denied? Would it get time added for the missing mini-game? Or would iOS and android runs of 100% PVZ get split into different categories?
What type of iOS do you have? I have iPhone 12Pro and it seems to work just fine, so it might be you’ll probably just have to upgrade or something I don’t know
With the current free mobile app being bombarded with ads and locking features like mowers behind a paywall, it's not a great port for speedruns at all. It's preferable to use an APK of the older Android release instead, which was unlisted from Google Play in 2017 and has none of the annoyances.
