    Clear intro/title screen with start. Enter in/out 2/1 times, then time.
    B press comes ~25.63 seconds after GBP hard reset. Back out/in 6 times, then buffer A for new game.
    

Hold B during intro to get fast text.
Choose boy (saves a decent chunk of frames over girl by having a shorter preset player name)..
Set time to 2:00am or 3:00am (night time allows for the best encounters to get needed experience).
Name character MAT (preset).

Check TID to ensure you got it and set options (fast text, battle scene off).
Talk to mom. A/B/A/A to her 4 Yes/No questions.
Take Cyndaquil from the left in Elm's lab, nickname it 1 character.
Don't bother checking stats, take all Cyndaquils, even females.

If you encounter a L2 Rattata or L2 Hoothoot on Route 29, kill it (only kill one).
Buy 21 Antidotes in Cherrygrove Mart (press right twice to buy them quickly).
Go to Mr. Pokemon's house (all encounters on Route 30 are bad).

Rival 1: Leer + Tackle x4-5
    - Swap Leer and Tackle after 1st turn (need Leer/Tackle/Smokescreen or Tackle/Smokescreen/Leer move order for glitch.)
    - If you can't kill in 1 turn and Toto is about to kill you, use Potion and pay attention to endgame change.
    
Go back to lab, name rival 1 character.

Tackle/catch your first encounter on second Route 29 pass.
    - If going for WR, consider yoloballing L3 Hoothoots; maybe L2s as well.

Route 29 experience (grind in Route 29 grass until you get this experience - need exactly 233 exp for glitch):
1. Kill L2 Rattata or L2 Hoothoot with Cyndaquil (ignore if you killed one on first pass).
2. Split experience on L3 Rattata or L3 Hoothoot with your 2nd pokemon.
---> Ideal L3 fight is Leer + Tackle + (switch to dummy) + Tackle and kill with dummy.
---> You can Tackle a second time with Cyndaquil if it won't kill (usually when Hoothoot Growls).
---> Switch back to Cyndaquil only if leaving dummy in risks it fainting.
        
Enter Cherrygrove Center, immediately go to 2nd floor PC.

Rename boxes:

Switch to Box 3 to save. (Slightly faster than Move w/o Mail; glitch works in Box 1/3/4, just don't switch to Box 2.)
    
Friendly clone:
        - Deposit Cyndaquil (can also clone with dummy).
        - Switch to Box 1 and hard reset during save. (Slightly faster to save with Move w/o Mail, but the reset cue is trickier.)
        - On GBP/GSR: hard reset after second 'F' in 'OFF' (in 'SAVING ... DON'T TURN OFF THE POWER.')
        - On GBI/BGB: hard reset shortly after full text is displayed (roughly a quarter of a second). Note: BGB isn't currently allowed for runs.
        - Both friendly clone (L6 w/??? in nickname) and bad clone (L0) work for this route.
        
On reloading save:
        - Go down 1 tile.
        - Open menu (must be done on this tile for glitch to work).
        - Go to Pokemon, check Cyndaquil's stats, then back out.
        - Open items, "pretend" to toss 21 Antidotes (down 1 on quantity textbox to get to 21, then press 'B'. The Yes/No textbox to confirm the toss should never appear -- if it does, you'll need to soft reset and redo the steps).
        - If you still have Potion, press 'A' on CANCEL below Antidotes.
        - IMPORTANT: if you used your Potion on Rival, switch to Balls Pocket and press 'A' on CANCEL there.
        - Go up 1 tile and open PC.

Go to withdraw screen; if you got the friendly clone, there will be a white screen; press B to advance through it.
        - Early = no clone, Late = clone w/normal nickname, Very Late = deposited w/no clone. (Friendly clone window is ~2 frames)
        - If you missed, try to clone again, repeat until you get it.

Close PC (don't actually withdraw the clone).
Go downstairs. Talk to Red and win.

- After exiting, Fly to Viridian and enter the gym

- Blue: (X Acc), X Attack x3, Strength, IT, Strength x3, FT
	> IT Exeggutor if X Acc'd

UNION CAVE
- Don't pick up the X Attack

AZALEA TOWN/SLOWPOKE WELL
- Sell TM31, then buy 3 Potions, 4 Super Potions, 7 Repels and 2 Antidotes
- Pick up the Full Heal AFTER shopping; use to heal confusion/sleep as necessary
- Favor using a Potion after Rocket Shorts Guy, but use a Super Potion if necessary (low HP, bad defense, low on Potions, etc.)
- Pick up the Super Potion

AZALEA GYM
- If you have 75+ extra experience, fight either the Paras trainer or the Caterpie/Weedle trainer
- Use 1-2 Potions or a Super Potion before Rival 2 (and an Antidote if Kakuna poisoned you)

ILEX FOREST
- Before entering, repel four tiles before the guard's sprite (unless you need a Cut slave)
- Skip the Revive, and take the north path to move Farfetch'd
- Repel + teach and use Cut on the tile before the Cut bush
- Pick up the hidden Full Heal unless you have the one from Azalea
- Don't pick up the X Attack
- Pick up the hidden Super Potion if you have 0-4 healing items (or 5 with bad stats)
- The third repel will last you through all of the Route 34 grass

GOLDENROD CITY
- Get Kenya before first spinner hell pass
- Fight Donald and Teru in the underground after getting the Squirtbottle
- Shopping:
	> 5F: Sell TM45, then buy TM33
	> 3F: Buy 1 X Speed, 1 X Special and 2 X Attack (2 X Speed if you have 13-15 DV Speed and hit Ivan+Benny; 2 X Special instead if you have 12 DV Special))
	> 2F: Buy 5 Escape Ropes, 2 Full Heals and 1 Poke Doll (6 Escape Ropes if you hit Irwin)
- Double deposit in the Goldenrod center (triple deposit if all slaves died), switch Croconaw to slot 1 on the first menu on Route 34, then progress to Ecruteak

ECRUTEAK CITY
- Need 2 Headbutt HP after the Kimono Girls (preferably 4 unless bad Attack)
- Skip the mart after the girls unless you have 0-2 healing items, in which case buy 3-4 Super Potions. Favor 3 with 12-13 DV Special, 0-12 DV Speed and <$234 extra after Goldenrod
- Don't pick up the hidden Hyper Potion
- Need 8 Headbutt+Surf PP after Morty (at least 4 must be Surfs; 6 if need to Surf Growlithes)

OLIVINE CITY
- Buy 14 Super Repels and 3-4 Super Potions. Favor 3 with 12-13 DV Special, 0-12 DV Speed and <$234 extra after Goldenrod. Also buy Paralyz Heals/Awakenings if you have 0-1 Full Heals
- Teach Strength on the Kaylee pause buffer menu if you have 0-2 Headbutt PP

ROCKET HIDEOUT
- Don't pick up the Guard Spec.
- Surf whenever it's faster, up to 1 extra Surf (can't double Surf more than one Electrode, or Arbok and one Electrode)

GOLDENROD CITY
- Use the center before Radio Tower 1
- Shopping
	> 5F: Get Return TM
	> 4F: If you have 12-13 DV Special and enough money (<$234 extra after Goldenrod, hit any spinner, have 11-15 DV Attack OR have 13-15 DV Speed), buy 2 Calciums
	> 3F: Buy 5 X Special, 8-11 X Attack, 1 X Speed, 1 Guard Spec., 2 X Accuracy (no X Speed if you bought 2 on first trip; 2 X Speed if <13 DV Speed)

Manipless Beginner Route by Quelaagging

I take no credit for this guide, all of the strats were from here https://pastebin.com/nTaMhcTN i just added a few things to help new runners navigate better and to make a guide for people who dont like pastebin.

Girl, 5:51PM, Toto(reset female), take 12 12 10 10 10 or better(reset if bad attack and bad special at lvl 6), take off berry when you get a runnable Toto. kill only hoppip and poliwags, get potion before mr pokemon(have this pastebin open to see what to do with your stats for mid game https://pastebin.com/MVXVses1 )

RIval 1 -Chikorita- leer, scratch
Catch Sentret/poliwag if you see one
Mikey- scratch(swap rage and use rage if lvl 7)
-Catch Poliwag if you see one, consider yoloball Bellsprout
-Get 3rd potion if you need to heal for spearow and/or have bad stats
-Get bitter berry
FALKNER GYM
-if you had 11 defense at level 5 and didn’t get experience, heal to 32+ before Spearow
-Spearow- swap rage and use rage
-Trainer 2- rage
-Falkner- rage
-Center and get egg, then get przberry
-Get the repel pokeball in the grass and take the left path to Union Cave
-Menu equip bitter berry and use repel when you enter Union Cave
UNION CAVE
(if you hit Russel skip Bill) Bill- Rage
-Consider saving for Anthony
-Talk to kurt, mart sell mudslap, buy 1 potion, 5 super potion, 6 repel, 2 antidote and then pick up full heal
SLOWPOKE WELL
-Rocket shorts guy- rage
-Trainer 2- water gun(rage zubat or scratch ekans depending on dv's)
-Trainer 3- water gun rat, water gun or scratch zubat depending on dv's
-Trainer 4- water gun
AZALEA GYM
-Fight the twin on the right and take the right path after the fight
-Ledyba- scratch, Spinarak- water gun or scratch depending on dv's
-Caterpie- water gun, weedle- water gun

-Menu tile before rival 2- equip przberry, super potion, repel, teach fury cutter in slot 2(skip repel if still need cut slave)

-Talk to flower lady then go to Whitneys gym
-Headbutt snubbull (water gun if charmed)
-Whitney: fury cutter(bite over slot 2)
-Get squirtbottle, if early underground bite slowpokes, water gun magnemites and headbutt voltorb
-Goldenrod Mart 1, top floor sell attract then buy ice punch, 2 floors down buy 1 x speed, 1 x special(2 if 24 for rival 3), 1/2 x attack, 6 ropes, 2 full heals, 1 pokedoll
-On way back through spinner hell, deposit croc and egg in the house before Sudowoodo then withdraw croc
-Before sudowoodo, use bike, then menu swap croc to 1 then use repel
ECRUTEAK CITY
-Make your way to the kimono girl gym
-Flareon- HB x2
-Espeon- HB x2
-Umbreon- HB x3
-Vaporeon- HBx2
-(Heal if below 45 hp)- HB + scratch
-Exit house and menu, super potion, repel, ice punch in slot 3, surf in slot 4 then bike to burnt tower

-Activate Legendary doggo cutscene then rope out then bike to mortys gym

OLIVINE CITY
-Bike and repel then make way to Olivine city taking top path
- fight First Lady by the ledges in Olivine and surf pikachu
-Mart- 4 hyper potion, 14 super repel. Make your way to the lighthouse.
-HB + surf noctowl
-HB x2 Growlithes
-HB + Bite Marill
-Get candy if no spinner then do menu below
-If spinner, heal, super repel, swap to top then rope then get strength and teach it on kaylee pause over slot 1
CIANWOOD GYM
-Strength x2 hitmon's
-Surf machop, surf x2 machoke
-If healing before pushing boulders heal and use strength from the Pokémon menu
Strength x4 mankey/primeape
-Chuck- x attack (x attack), strength x3
-Get fly, get secret potion
-Teach fly, fly 3 down, bike to mt mortar and use a repel, pokedoll on gyarados
-Fly down 2 then go to hideout
ROCKET HIDEOUT

-Lance heal

-If below 12 spec delay mart until after the first part of radio tower and do the same Mart above while buying 3 calciums
>Follow PP route pastebin, candy 38-39(or 37-38)
-Get pink bow, do the quiz AABAB, then fly 2 down then go to ice path and repel 4 tiles in
-When repel wears off use repel then use Strength from the pokemon menu
-After repel wears off, menu super repel, equip pink bow, teach whirlpool and waterfall (if you did late Poliwag you dont need to do this menu)
-After Claire make your way to Dragon's Den and answer the questions.11212, super repel, then rope, fly to new bark
-Make your way to E4 (I recommend watching videos of movement here it’s hard to explain in a guide)
-Get the free heal from the lady in the house before the Joyce spinner.
-Rapidash- surf

-When entering Pokemon League buy 11 Full Restores and proceed to fight Will.
