Using Dolphin 2603a, and finally utilizing RNG Manip, I managed a huge PB to celebrate the 22nd Anniversary of the North American release of my all-time favorite game. Sloppy early game, just following the lab death guide as I played led to some huge and costly mistakes that simply weren't necessary. Later on however, I began to stack gold splits. While Lab was a little awkward as I wasn't actually familiar with Lab Death strats, I still managed to save time since my old PB was so bad. Lab is also where I took my only break of the run right at Lab Entry. Time stamp is shortly after 3:00:44 with 2:56:28 on the LiveSplit timer, resuming at 3:04:27. My splits are probably slightly off as usual (especially Venus, who I forgot to split for a minute or so,) but I tend to err on the side of caution and split later rather then earlier. The time is only good for a one spot improvement, but it feels a lot bigger than that, and with plenty more room to improve and high motivation right now, I might actually learn lab death and keep doing runs sooner rather than later.
