As of today submissions done on the most recent update 100 patch (u100r5) and beyond are eligible for submissions because of the explosion damage bug being fixed.
Runs that were previously submitted done on the earlier u100 patches where explosion damage was bugged will be accepted if they didn't take any explosive damage during the run, otherwise they will be rejected for consistency reasons, sorry.
- Aspect ratios & fps options
Update 100 finally brought the official support for wider aspect ratios and higher framerate caps, the new ruleset allows the usage of aspect ratios up to 16:9 (wider is not allowed) and fps cap up to 60 (higher is not allowed), this strikes a good balance and consistency of modern game mechanics and not giving an unfair advantage to people with wider monitors or higher refresh rate monitors.
- 12 Character
12 Characters now uses LRT - load removed time, which means that submissions will be done with all the in-game times of the characters added up to a single time rather than the real-time being used (which is inconsistent because of loading times being random & computer dependent), runs still have to be done in a single sitting in a row so segmented is not allowed.
A decision on whether 12 character will be archived with the addition of 13 character, or something similar, has not been made yet, feel free to join the official Nuclear Throne community discord server over at discord.gg/nt and head to the #speedrunning channel if you're interesting in the discussion.
