Hello everyone and happy holidays!

Thanks to the generosity of Cookiebruh (bruggeted on discord), I am pleased to announce that both the Metroid and the Zelda minigames currently have bounties on their WRs. Information about the bounties are a bit all over the place. This message is the official ruleset to be referred to for Metroid Blast. The details of the bounties are as follow: Bounties can be claimed several times, even by the same player. But a arbitrary "anti-spam" rule will be used by Cookiebruh to prevent any kind of "exploit" by improving a wr many times only by a few tenths intentionally for example.

For Metroid Blast

• Gunship any% wr (10, 20 or 30 missions) $50
• Samus any% wr (10, 20 or 30 missions) $20
• co-op any% wr (10, 20 or 30 missions) [must be faster than the equivalent singleplayer wr] $10 (players to divide bounty among themselves)
• Gunship IL (Individual Level) wr $10
• Samus IL wr $5
• co-op IL wrs [must be faster than the equivalent singleplayer wr] $2 (players to divide bounty among themselves)

Additionally, if you:

• Find a way to skip or cut short the auto-time metroid missions $50
• Find a way to do more than the capped amount of damage to Ridley each phase $30
• Find and demonstrate a practical time-saving exploit or glitch $50

Rules for your run to be eligible:

• The run must be done after 02/10/2025 (DD/MM/YYYY), and before 11.59pm 01/08/2026, AEST.
• The run must be verified by the leaderboards mods. Refer to the ruleset of every category on speedrun.com, and make sure your screen is visible in the footage. (Smartphone recording are okay as long as the screen in clearly visible). Please have the sound, but a run can be accepted without it.
• You must claim the bounty to Cookiebruh (bruggeted on discord), either via dm or on the community discord server.
• Please remain civilized when interacting with community members and mods.
