I see the runs on the PC leaderboard seem to all have the cutscenes stripped from the game. How is that achieved? I tried deleting the video files but the game still loads them from the CD when playing.
I believe that most PC runs use a cracked version of the game that does not access the CD anymore. You can find the version I run here: https://www.myabandonware.com/game/night-at-the-museum-battle-of-the-smithsonian-the-video-game-gci
Thank you for the reply! Unfortunately that's the same image i'm running from. I've just been comparing against RyanPointless's run since their run has the cutscenes still enabled. I know though i'll have to figure out how to remove them if wanting to improve at a certain point. Did you do anything specific with your install that you can recall?
A friend and I finally figured it out. In order to not get the CD/DVD prompt you must leave the Video folder intact and in the launcher disable High Resolution Cutscenes. You must then either delete the videos in the VideoLR folder or rename the folder. You can keep the Credits.wmv file and the intro/menu videos as to not deal with the blinding white screen that otherwise would show up.
