Wow, and just like that, NetherGames is gone and closed for good. This is a pretty crazy event for me and many others, as this was the server I always went to, and where I got my start in both speedrunning and speedrunning moderation. I'd like to thank the speedrunning community for being a part of this server, and pushing these games to the fastest they can be! I appreciate all of the competition and dedication put into speedrunning on this server! Thank you all!
The speedrun.com leaderboards will stay up as legacy to continue to be viewed. Runs may still be submitted to the leaderboards that may have yet to be submitted. As of now, the leaderboards sit at 1,354 verified runs submitted, done by 672 unique players.
NetherGames first opened on January 18, 2016, and ran for over 10 years until its closing on June 28, 2026. The speedrun.com leaderboard was created on Jun 16, 2020, along with the Discord server sometime in June 2020. Crazy how long this community has been around!
More information on the closure of NetherGames can be found here. The online portal also includes a Guest Book, which can be signed to leave one last message for NetherGames.
We have added the following new rules:
"Chat is required to be shown at all times.
Game info panel on right must be shown at all times.
Runs that are world records must do /p"
As clarification, you must not have "hide chat" enabled.
Also, we have been having a large amount of runs that do not show the lobby, please show the lobby of your game!
Here are all of the things that have been added/adjusted in this leaderboard update:

- Updated All Minigames Category. There is now a category split between the 4 main games and all 8 games in the All Minigames category.
We've decided to remove the winstreaks category since NetherGames has already added a winstreak leaderboard to their portal.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we believe this change will make things easier and more streamlined.
The maze trials speedrun has been removed, since you cannot replay the maze trials.
New Categories:
- Volcano Parkour

Category Updates:
- Lobby Parkour has been archived due to the lobby being switched and it no longer being possible to run that category.
The new duels mode, "Combo" has been added to the duels leaderboards. We have also changed the All Duels category for before Combo mode and Current Version.
OP duels mode has been renamed to Overpowered because its name has been changed on NetherGames.
The new game on NetherGames, conquests, has now been added to the winstreaks leaderboard. Happy winstreaking!
