There was a previous thread regarding IL Time Trial leaderboards. Would we be able to look into adding these? I am looking to post Elite class no items time trial runs. Thanks for the consideration!

Would that mean adding three new categories for every individual track in the game? No opponents, no power ups... sounds boring as hell. I would be curious who else would be interested in this before adding more cats.

The last IL thread was super not active, I ended up adding the IL Cups because I thought they would be the most fun.

I have precisely 0 interest in running categories with opponents and power ups. I cannot speak to why others would be "bored" with an IL category but it's the only interesting thing to do in racing games. Regardless, I'll just do runs and you guys can do what you want to do.

What I feel makes Rumble the game that it is, is the opponents and power ups. It's the silly and the RNG. That's what makes this game special. Time trial strips it down to the barest bones, and I'm just not at all interested in that gameplay or verifying those kinds of runs.

I may have strong opinions about what I think the game is, but there's not any good reason why it can't be two things. Adding 63 categories to our current 24 would require maybe one or two additional mods.

The more I think about this, the more I realize I am being a stick in the mud on your suggestion. But if I am going to be a stick in the mud about Time Trial, then maybe we just need some mod(s) that won't be. Based on your experience and current mod status, is this something you would be interested to take on? Or if there are any others interested in verifying time trials, let me know.

I'd be down to help get the boards up and verify runs if need be. Have been working on ILs for this game myself.

I can fully support BillDire being mod. I'll work with them if needed in the future but I doubt there'll be a need (not exactly a large player base sadly)
