I’ve been practicing this one for a couple weeks on dreamcast and I didn’t realize why I didn’t have the same gundam options like in the leaderboard runs, I realized that the 2 releases are pretty different actually along with the arcade release.
The Dreamcast version came with 2 discs, disc one is what Im playing and that’s the arcade original federation vs zeon, you have more limited gundam options 3 instead of 5 and there are no space levels. You have to clear less levels to complete the game.
the second disc of the dreamcast version is the DX version, this is the version on ps2, but where these differ are the dreamcast version doesn’t have a story mode and instead both discs have online play on dreamcast which is still online to play on a real dreamcast over 56k modem or the flycast emulator I think has online play now(and crossplay with Dreamcast consoles)
I realize it’s not much different but the arcade and dreamcast have theoretically faster versions of the game since there’s no distinction between arcade original and DX releases
