Hello everyone! For those unaware, a vote was recently conducted within the MKDD Discord about whether to switch to the in-game timer for the grand prix categories. Over 90% of poll respondents supported a switch to IGT, therefore all grand prix speedruns will be switching to in-game timing.

The following categories will be switching to IGT as their main timing method:

• Mirror Mode
• No Barrel Train
• Grand Prix Co-Op

The following categories will remain timed by RTA:

• 100%
• Shine Thief 1p2c
• All Pipes

The switch to IGT will officially be happening on March 14. Runs that have video will all be checked to make sure they have IGT attached. If you have any runs that do not have video, please ensure that they have IGT attached to them by the above date. Runs that do not have IGT attached will automatically be filtered to the bottom of the leaderboard.
