I was messing around on https://mk8dxbuilder.com/ and found that Inkling Boy, Master Cycle Zero, Roller, and Paper Glider might be as good as or better than Yoshi Teddybuggy. Here's a screenshot and you can go check it out yourself:

This could actually work, the only problem is that its inside drift

You can also use Inkling Girl, but it has a lower speed and a higher accel and handling.

The only stats this combo has over the meta is a slight Water speed boost (which isn't relevant for the most part) and better Traction (which can work as a detriment if the stat is too high). The lesser acceleration just isn't a good enough trade-off for meta overthrowing, but it's definitely still a viable combo.

That is true, thank you. I've also found that if you use Luigi on the Tanooki Kart, you trade off 0.25 accel and MT and a bigger hitbox for 0.25 in every speed stat and weight and 0.5 invincibility.
