I am seeing who is uploading the background images. They aren't appropriate to the game. They need to stop.
As far as other users are concerned, I will not discuss why specific actions were taken with specific users generally. Do not ask.
With all due respect, there is nothing inappropriate about the backgrounds. It used to be Reggie, the dog of a runner who inspired a significant number of players to run the game. The next background was a loading screen from the game.
I'm standing with Intercom on this. I also think it's a little strange that they were removed 3 times before getting an explanation. Unless you did contact who was doing it and I'm just unaware of it.

Yeah, just to echo what Intercom said, this game's speedrunning community owes a ton to Peaches. He created such a strong baseline of both RTA and IL strats for this games run to be built upon and taken to where it's gotten. That, and his AGDQ2013 run is the main catalyst for so many people running this game. Reggie is his dog, and using that incredibly good boy as our wallpaper is our way of paying homage to him.
as a new speedrunner to this game it seems to me that you three care more about keeping your friends dog as the background than the game or the community itself. Theintercom is the only one who has answered my questions about the game and the other two just leave me on read or say they don't know/forgot. as far as peaches legacy and him inspiring anyone to play the game, yeah maybe like 6 years ago lol everyone who actually still plays the game doesn't know who he is.

Saying we care about the background more than the community itself is a little disingenuous. I'm just curious why our background, which we've had for literal years, is being deemed inappropriate and deleted without any communication.
Weed is spouting nonsense. The only things you've asked me about was about revisions of the game, which no one knows what the differences are, about a bomb clip I havent done in years and the gold gem from 5-7 which I answered. I also ported the IL levels to src because you asked and made a basic movement tutorial for someone else because they asked. You guys seem more interested in causing problems more than you care about the "community". Also screeching "mod reppler" at us constantly when reppler has never even expressed interest to be mod doesnt help your case either. Not to mention me and intercom can't even make him mod.

yea and no one used it cept you to get a free IL WR that every one has. that's why we never bothered. the way we used to track ILs was good enough for the time.
also i dont think what i said was disingenuous at all when one of my first impressions of jackafur was him saying "if anything you not knowing who the dog is proves you're not part of this community any way" but hey what i do i know im probably just some autistic neck beard :3
