Hello all,

This is a video demo of a challenge type run of MGS Delta. The rules are simple, have the cigar equipped at all times. Immediately equip after cutscenes, during The Sorrow's fight until forced to use the revival pill, the sniping bridge sequence, and any other time it may be unequipped. This category can have both glitch less and glitched versions, DLC/NG+, FOXHOUND, Any, and even a Formal (tux/white tux) % run.

this is a fun idea for a challenge run that I might try and do one day as well tbh. But my only thing with it being on the boards is that it might be a bit too similar to a base game run, the cigar health tick is just so minimal and slow in 3/delta that idk if much would change. Alternatively you could do a hitless run and accomplish the same feat since the idea with the cigar is that you'll have low health the entire time. Cig% in mgs1 is basically hitless imo since your'e health drains faster. In a base game delta run the item menu isnt really used much at all except for the box to get into the shagohods hanger and possibly a FDP.

TLDR; I love the idea as a challenge run but idk if it differs enough from a normal speedrun to be on the boards BUT thats not up to me, im waiting on a response to my idea as well lmao

Fair enough and appreciate the feedback. I figured it was an extra layer to add for those seeking a hitless run, and also purely vibes cos BB has a cigar the whole time. Worst case its something extra to attempt for content or fun, but figured I'd shoot my shot. When MGS4 is released in the MGS Collection Volume 2, I imagine THAT will be a much bigger challenge, especially for FOXHOUND rank, so even if this doesn't gain any traction, this was good fun and practice for an even greater challenge.

The black lung challenge is an ez yes that i can add soon. sorry for not replying well ever, life got on me I likely saw this initial post and ADHD'd my way literally anywhere else but i digress. (delfino poked me about these posts like a hecking legend) my only thing here would be since it's PC i would want the loadless timer on display the same way we do with every other category on PC.
