Look I agree with you on the categories that turn it into a 1 second run, but for runs like $100,000 it speeds it up significantly. Aside from that though, the game is inactive as hell and has only a single mod. And the categories that it wrecks aren't exactly all that interesting, they're short as it is.
Now that's not to say it's a good thing, but like, it should be treated as a case-by-case thing, so it can still be used in the longer categories.
I think $100,000 could be sub 90m with an optimised route regardless (when have long runs stopped anyone) but I agree with having it in categories that aren't trivialised to make it faster and different to just Digging with further routing.
i think something that could solve this is potentially enabling milliseconds on the leaderboards to have it be a bit more accurate?
No, then the category is obsoleted but you have to be frame perfect to tie first place...
Hey figured I'd comment on this thread again. Basically the last mod was inactive so I decided to apply myself to moderate.
Still have a few more runs to go through but since I kinda have the keys to the kingdom here I wanted to see how anyone else who's still interested in running $1000 and $10,000 feels about banning the teleporter glitch for these categories.
I'm all for it personally but it's worth asking
Congrats on becoming the new mod! I would say I'm for the ban in those categories. I think it should remain across the remaining categories tho, since I think that would encourage additional glitch hunting and optimisation. But, it would mean that the $1000, $10000, and all digging missions categories are a nice way to introduce new players to the game + the community.
Also, I know that this is a different conversation topic, but perhaps introducing "Glitchless" leaderboards for the other categories might be nice for those who don't want to use the teleporter glitch + any others?
Yeah I can get behind that. I'll give it a little longer, maybe till the end of the week and change the rules up. Might also make a thread about different glitches and tech sometime later too since I found a few in my most recent $100,000 run
Hey everyone.
So with the advent of new glitches and the TP save glitch specifically breaking certain categories, I've officially given each main category two subcategories that split runs into "Glitched" and "No Major Glitches". The main idea is to separate the runs that use the TP glitch from run
