Do you need fabric to use sodium? if no, then how?

You do not need fabric api tho because it is banned

fabric is a launcher needed to run mods like sodium, lithuim, etc. fabric API is banned, and is simply used to run other mods on fabric. 

the speedrunning mods are made so that you don't need fabric api to run them
