I currently use my scroll wheel for half of my hotbar. How do people use a keybind for every key? What keybinds do you guys use? All of my controls are default except I have 3rd person set to r and the 9th hotbar slot set to mouse4 because I like to put my building blocks there.

Update. I tried changing my keybinds and I think I kind of like them. I changed them to: 1, 2, 3, 4, z, x, c, mouse5, mouse4. I was laying in bed when I asked this question, and then I thought to myself: "Wait, I don't even use z, x, or c." So I hopped on to try it, and it actually feels really comfortable and smooth.

It mostly comes down to what you’re comfortable with. As an example I use mouse5 for the first slot cus that’s where I have my axe of sword

I don’t have mouse buttons (i don’t have a gaming mouse), so I make do with my keyboard. 1,2,3,4,LeftAlt,v,g,t,f for my hotbar, c for toggle perspective, ` for chat, and the rest are as default

I prefer scroll, many people (ahem @Yoopicul) have tried to make me change it, but that's what I like

Mine are 1,2,z,x,c, rest are scroll wheel except nine which is the button on the left of 1

If you're new to minecraft, and don't have established keybinds, I would recommend the ESDF setup instead of WASD, as it gives you more keys on the left of your hand. My keybinds are: W, 3, 4, R, A, V, G, B, 5, cntrl for sprint, q for offhand, t for inventory, and ` for chat.
