Yes, the path is purely straightforward. That's why we considered that the "make a new save file" rule didn't apply, since it wouldn't change anything. Hope it's alright with you. Anyway, we never get back to the level selection menu during the run, we just always hit "next stage" like you would in a first playthrough.
